![]() ![]() RTSS seems to mainly fix this, but the occasional judder still happens on my machine at least.įinally, I did notice a lot of graphical corruption/flicker out of the corner of my eye, particularly on popping-in assets. It does still have little hitches from time to time on experimental build that aren't on there on Windows version when I directly compare.Īlso, steam experimental absolutely requires RTSS to be running to be smooth, otherwise even on experimental build it has inconsistent frame pacing. A shame that apparently mod loaders don't work on it. I have tested the stutter on the experimental build and it is indeed fixed thank Christ. If that's fixed then I'm very happy to hear it. I perceive the same stutter on each PC I've tried.Īlright, to be fair I haven't tested it myself, just seen reports. Update: I've installed and tested Subnautica on multiple gaming PCs in my house (lots of gamers live here). Update: This user seems to be having the same problem: Is there any way in the game files to force enable/disable the Use Frame Time for Physics Step option? The experimental branch works fine, but that does not support mod managers" Update: This YouTuber captures it fairly well: believe that "he problem is caused by the 'Use frame time for physics step' option which can't be fixed because in the 2020 july update, leaving it broken. I'm not sure why this post is archived if people are still having the problem.Īny tips out there? Has this always been in the game? In fact, the same thing seems to be described for Below Zero, here: It is to the point that I dread leaving the water. No other adjustment that I've tried seems to make a difference low settings, high settings, changing NVIDIA settings - same symptom in every case. I switched Anti Aliasing to TAA (default was FXAA) and that seemed to help reduce this stuttering effect on shadows, but it's still noticeable everywhere else. It's only noticeable while inside structures or on land. It feels like a refresh sync mismatch (but it isn't). ![]() ![]() ![]() Sometimes I notice it when I am in the water when I am near a building or structure. Seems to be totally fine/smooth when in water, but walking around feels very jittery. I've noticed that Subnautica is stuttering when my character is walking. I'm sorry if this has been asked a thousand times, but I've done a fair bit of searching with no solution yet. Running the numbers, in Below Zero with only the Fins and the seaglide equipped your swimming speed tops out at 8.57 m/s.Įquiping even the standard 0² tank will start penalizing you, and with the ultrahigh capacity O² tank and a reinforced suit you'll be going at 7.02 m/s.Īnd I just realize they actually removed the lightweight 0² tank as well, because ♥♥♥♥ you, that's why.Hi Everyone. In the original the Seaglide would make you travel at 11 m/s Which means that while In the original you could wear a reinforced suit and heavy tank, and still zoom-zoom with the seaglide, in BZ you slow down to a crawl as the seaglide bearly compensates for speed penalties from your gear.Īnd even if you're naked, the bonus speed it gives you falls way below the speed of the seaglide in the original. Prawn suit can't tarzan swing trough caverns anymore as letting go of the grappeling hook imidiatly kills all momentum.įrom what I understand, the Seaglide now simply adds a flat numerical bonus vallue to the players swimming speed, unlike the previous game where it would set your movement speed to a set vallue. Seatruck is slower than the Seamoth, even without any modules. ![]()
